Founded in 1975, Columbia Builders, Inc. was one of only a handful of companies selected by James Rouse to build his famous planned city of Columbia, Maryland. In the 30 years since, Columbia Builders has built more than 2,500 homes in 40 communities across Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Columbia Builders' numerous awards include Home Builders Association of Maryland MAX awards for Outstanding Design as well as recognition from Dow Chemical Corp. for pioneering advances in energy savings. It was the first homebuilder in Maryland to receive the prestigious Energy Value Award from the National Association of Home Builders. And for superior craftsmanship, outstanding client service and commitment to the community, the readers of Howard Magazine have named Columbia Builders Howard County's "Best Homebuilder" for 21 consecutive years — every year since the award's founding.
Columbia Builders will offer six estate home designs at Walnut Grove, ranging from 4,500 to 6,500 square feet, on nine one-acre lots. These homes will start at $1.2 million.
